Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before getting started.

We provide services for children from approximately 3.5 years of age through to adolescence (18 years), as well as adults across the lifespan.

Yes. We offer telehealth appointments via both video call and telephone. For video appointments, a secure link will be sent prior to the session, allowing individuals and families to attend from the comfort of their own home.

A psychological assessment is a comprehensive process used to better understand an individual's strengths, challenges, learning profile, behaviour, emotions, or developmental needs. Assessments can help identify whether additional support, intervention, accommodations, or services may be beneficial.

An assessment may be requested by a school, workplace, healthcare professional, parent, or the individual themselves. Because every person is unique, we encourage you to contact us for an informal discussion if you are unsure whether an assessment is appropriate. We are happy to answer any questions and discuss the best options for your circumstances, with no obligation to proceed.

Neuroaffirmative practice is an approach that recognises, respects, and values neurological differences, such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other forms of neurodivergence, as natural variations of human diversity rather than deficits to be fixed.

This approach focuses on understanding an individual's unique strengths, needs, and experiences while promoting self-acceptance, inclusion, and wellbeing. Neuroaffirmative practice aims to provide support that is respectful, collaborative, and tailored to the individual.

Getting started is simple. You can contact us by phone or email, and a member of our team will be in touch to discuss your needs.

We will work with you to determine the most appropriate next steps, whether that involves an initial consultation, a psychological assessment, therapeutic support, or referral to another service that may better meet your needs.

Medicare rebates may be available for therapy services when a valid referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan are in place. In some circumstances, Medicare may also contribute towards components of complex neurodevelopmental assessments.

Private health fund rebates vary between providers and policies. We recommend contacting your health fund directly to confirm your level of cover and eligibility for rebates.
